WHITE LIFE: LAKE LAKE

 WHITE LIFE: LAKE LAKE

The beautiful beauty of white, reminiscent of not being green only in heaven. The white, reflecting the cleanliness and the cleanliness, the elegance that forms an oasis in the Anatolian steppe. Thousands of visitors each year, Tuz gölü is a caftan for nature and landscape buffs with its white color that stretches as far as possible.

THREE OF OUR CUSHION
Salt Lake; At a point where the borders of Ankara, Konya and Aksaray are precisely intersected, the Central Anatolian region is within our borders. At Van Lake, the second largest lake in our country, Tuz Lake meets about 40% of Turkey's salt needs at the same time. In a tectonic pit, Salt is a tectonic formation. It is located in the deepest part of a pit buried with mountains and platelas around it. This depression is surrounded by fault lines in the east and west and the tectonic movement continues from time to time.

A LARGE LAKE WITHOUT OUTSIDE OUTSIDE
Salt lake, our country is located in one of the areas with the least rainfall. In August the lake is largely dry. The average water level in the salt lake is 40 cm. . The depth of the lake can reach about 110 cm, especially in May when the precipitation is intense and the snow waters reach the lake. EVERY YEAR APPROXIMATE 30 CM. SALT When the lake is dry in the summer months, a salt precipitate of 10 to 30 cm emerges. Thanks to this process, which is renewed every year, a significant amount of salt is needed from our country. The formation of salt in the lake is caused by the submergence of meteorological waters and the dissolution of salt masses (domes) in this layer and their surface transport through tectonic fault lines.

SURPRISE ECONOMY
Şereflikoçhisar, located right next to the lake, has salt factories that wash and grind lots of salt. The county economy is based on agriculture and the salt produced in the lake, and it also provides employment opportunities with subsidiary sectors. The sediment salt layer, which is released as a result of evaporation in summer, is picked up by the machinery and collected in salt, then transported to salt factories.

SPECIAL PROTECTION REGION IN 2001
Having a magnificent beauty and white noble elegance, Tuz gölü and its surroundings were declared a special protection area in 2001 with a highly qualified decision taken.

FLAMINGOLARIN REPRODUCTIVE REGION

We do not like Flamingos, one of the most beautiful creatures of our world. One of the areas where these wonderful birds feed on the most important breeding and artemia cages is the Salt Lake. Thousands of flamingos are settled in the winter months for flamingo rides and migrated in September, while Tuz gölü also hosts nature and photography enthusiasts who come to the region to photograph and observe these flocks. It is also the second largest breeding center of Sakarca excavation with its salt-covered bun.

NATURAL GAS DEPOSITION

Particularly in the winter months, supplies and pressurized natural gas are an important source of energy for our country. In order to find solutions to these problems, a natural gas depot has been built in the salt blocks under the Tuz Gölü and still work continues. Within this scope, 12 artificial salt caves of approximately 1 billion m3 natural gas capacity are being built in Sultanhanı.
PROTECTION MEASURES INCREASED

Like most of the natural wealth in our country, Tuz Lake faces the danger of pollution and extinction. It is stated that over-salinity around the lake has reached 32 percent levels, 16 thousand out of about 28 thousand water wells in the lake basin have been leaked and urgent measures have been taken against these problems in the underground waters where a decrease of about 14 meters has occurred in the past 30 years. TRANSPORTATION IN EASY ACCOMMODATION Transportation to Tuz Lake, one of the most important natural riches of our country, is extremely easy. You can reach to the area where the cruising and walking terraces are located by following Mersin - Adana highway from Ankara and following signs on the road before coming to Şereflikoçhisar.
